Lots of women love to travel but we don't always have someone with whom to travel or who can go when we want to or where. I (Wendy) have been curious about what's going on in travel before and since my stint as a travel agent.
Most women I know prefer not to travel alone for various reasons. It's often more fun when you have someone the share an experience with and it's easier when others can share the work of travelling, such as finding accommodations, dealing with schedules, and eating well. Many women also feel safer travelling with a fellow traveler or in group.
Enter...travel clubs for women. A few quick searches on the Internet have revealed that there is a lot out there for women who love to travel but don't want to go alone.
Ladies on the Go Travel Club is based in White Rock, B.C. Canada. They offer escorted group tours for women.
RVing Women is a network of women who travel with RVs around North America. They have chapters in different locations and lots of planned activities.
Sisters on the Fly claim "We have more fun than anyone". With over 6,000 members this membership-based community supports women in their journey to get up, get out and become more adventurous!
That's just a sampling of what's available to women travelers. So, get up and get out there.
